The Arts & Tourism Summit

The Arts & Tourism Summit - Access For All

The Summit features nationally recognized keynote speakers, panel discussions with local experts, and breakout sessions providing targeted workshops and facilitated dialog. The event will also feature inspiring cultural performances, designated networking opportunities, an artist market, a DEIA vendor spotlight, and an opening night reception. The content is designed for Palm Beach County arts and tourism leaders, and employees at every level working at cultural institutions, tourist attractions, hotels, restaurants, and across the arts and hospitality sectors. The Summit’s fundamental goal is for DEIA not to just be a two-day focus, but that the audience leaves with new perspectives, contacts, and opportunities for action.

Note: Sign language interpreters will be available for every session.

Employees at every level from the arts and tourism sectors are encouraged to attend this free, two-day voluntary event.

Free Vision Board Workshop

Today is Juneteenth, a day to celebrate and honor Black culture and history. And it's a day to celebrate freedom – on June 19, 1865, two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, those still enslaved in Texas were finally free.
Last week, the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beachhad me teach art class in celebration of Juneteenth, creating a safe space where attendees put together vision boards to share their hopes and goals for the future.
These free workshops will be back July 12 & 26. 6pm-8pm

Please help support business services

Over the last 30+ years I have provided free services in the arts world.  Everything from teaching art, providing information to artists, research and development for other companies, organizations & people, programming, and curating. All done without receiving payment for any services rendered.  Though I do not mind donating my services, realistically this can become problematic for being able to maintain a level of fundamental survival.  One cannot pay bills, mortgage, buy groceries, pay insurance etc.

And if your response is, “ Well get a job”, the answer to that is.  I have a job.  I have just been doing it for free. Often times many other non-profits and individuals cannot afford the services but desperately need help.  I cannot turn my back on them because they cannot afford it.  I am humbly asking  if you believe in the projects and services, I have been providing the community for the last three decades, won’t you consider contributing something to what I do, so I can continue to provide all the unique services to those who cannot afford it?
